When you contact us or request a quote, we may collect:

• your email address and phone number
• the address or suburb of the site you are enquiring about
• details of the site and services you need: type of premises, approximate size, access hours, current arrangements
• anything else you choose to tell us in your message

If you become a client, we may also collect information needed to deliver and invoice the work, including site access arrangements and on-site contacts.

We do not ask for sensitive information, and we ask that you do not send it through our website form.

2. How we collect it

Usually directly from you, through the quote form on this website, by email, or over the phone.

We may also collect limited technical information automatically when you visit this site, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you viewed. This is used to keep the site secure and working, and to understand which pages are useful.

3. Why we collect it

We use your personal information to:

• respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote
• arrange and carry out a site inspection
• deliver, schedule and invoice services
• keep records of what was agreed
• meet our legal and insurance obligations

We will not use your details for marketing unless you have asked us to, and you can opt out at any time.

4. Direct marketing

We only send marketing communications where you have consented, consistent with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). Every commercial message we send identifies us, includes our contact details, and contains a functional unsubscribe facility.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:

• our personnel and subcontractors, where they need it to carry out work at your site
• service providers who help us run our business (see the overseas section below)
• anyone else you authorise, or where we are required to by law

6. Information sent overseas

Some of the services we use to run this website store or process information outside Australia. This is required disclosure under Australian Privacy Principle 8.

We take reasonable steps to ensure these providers handle your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles, but by using our form you acknowledge your information may be handled overseas.

7. Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and move through this website: which pages are read, which links are followed, and roughly where visitors are located. It sets cookies in your browser that give your device an anonymous identifier so that repeat visits can be counted as one person rather than several.

We use this only to improve the website. It does not tell us who you are, we do not combine it with the details you send through our enquiry form, and we do not use it for advertising or remarketing. Google Analytics collects your IP address to work out your approximate location, and discards it without storing it.

You can opt out at any time. Every browser can block or delete cookies through its own settings, and Google publishes a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on that stops the data being sent from any website you visit.

Some further cookies may be set by our hosting provider for security and to keep the site working. These are not used to track you across other websites.

8. How we protect it

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access or disclosure. This includes transmitting our website over HTTPS, restricting access to enquiry records, and using reputable service providers.

No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. How long we keep it

We keep client records for as long as needed to deliver services and meet our legal, tax and insurance obligations, typically seven years.

When information is no longer needed and we are not required to keep it, we destroy or de-identify it.

10. Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. Contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable period, normally 30 days.

There is no charge for making a request. If we refuse, we will tell you why in writing.

If a data breach involving personal information is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify the affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

12. Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first using the details below. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to resolve it within 30 days.
